The framework covers cable installation work for National Grid Electricity Transmission, National Grid Ventures, National Grid Electricity Distribution East Midlands, National Grid Electricity Distribution West Midlands, National Grid Electricity Distribution South West and National Grid Electricity Distribution South Wales. Work includes 66kV, 132kV and lower voltage cable circuits, associated earth wires and continuity conductors, NGED telecom ducts, and all jointing, testing and commissioning.
A framework agreement allows the buyer to call off work as needed rather than through a one-off contract. National Grid subsidiary companies can now use Balfour Beatty's appointment for future cable installation projects.
