National Grid has opened a framework tender for strategy consulting services, with a UK estimated value of £400m. The scope covers corporate strategy, business unit planning, organisational design, change management and regulatory advisory across both regulated and non-regulated activities. National Grid UK Limited is seeking suppliers to deliver corporate strategy consulting across its UK and US operations under a framework arrangement.
The scope covers provision of corporate strategy services, strategic planning and roadmap development for business units and functions, optimisation of group organisation structures, and governance and programme management to support the organisational vision. Suppliers will also support transformational change implementation, define success measures, manage change programmes and provide group-level regulatory advisory covering enterprise-wide strategy and policy positioning.
The work extends to strategic process design and improvement across the enterprise, and overarching strategic input on specialty domains including regulation and operations. Services may support regulated utility activities, non-regulated business activities, and programmes spanning both environments. The scope explicitly excludes technical engineering consulting, IT professional services and PR work.
The estimated value of £400m relates to UK framework arrangements only. National Grid is running this as part of a broader global sourcing programme under which separate US contractual arrangements may also be established. Suppliers should be capable of operating across the full range of group, business unit and functional requirements.
