Equal Experts has won one of three £150m contracts from DEFRA for application development, maintenance and support (ADMS) Plus, a framework-style procurement that divided the total work equally among three suppliers.

The contract covers software development, maintenance and ongoing technical support across government systems. DEFRA split the opportunity into three identical awards rather than a single large contract, a structure that allows each supplier to deliver the full scope independently.

The award notice was published on 23 June 2026, three weeks after the tender deadline of 12 February 2026. Equal Experts now begins work on its £150m allocation under the contract.

The three-way split structure means competing suppliers each secured the same value and scope. Organisations seeking similar work from DEFRA will need to monitor future call-offs or framework opportunities as they emerge from this procurement vehicle.
