Irish public bodies could soon buy their fuel through a single supplier, after the Office of Government Procurement opened a tender for Fuel Charge Card Services worth an estimated €197,000,000.00.
The single supplier framework splits into three lots: one covering "Single Supplier Framework Contract for An Garda Síochána", one for the Health Sector, and a third for all other entities named in the tender documents, excluding those two.
A framework agreement lets a buyer agree terms with a supplier in advance, so public bodies can call off services later without running a fresh competition each time.
Suppliers have until 2026-08-04T23:00:00Z to respond to the tender, which was published 2026-07-02T22:00:00Z under reference 459742-2026.
