Scottish Canals has launched a £110m contractors framework spanning eight lots: civils and design, landscaping, surveys and investigations, mechanical and electrical works, fabrication, dredging, regional construction across three areas, and professional engineering services. The framework supports asset maintenance and regeneration projects. Tenders close 20 July 2026.
Scottish Canals is opening a £110m framework to support maintenance, improvements and regeneration across its canal network, split into eight lots covering construction disciplines and professional services.
The framework is structured to allow the body to commission projects across civils work including design; landscaping with design; hydrographic, topographic and ground investigation surveys; mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, controls and telemetry works; fabrication; and dredging. A separate lot covers regional construction works split between Lowlands, Caley and Crinan areas. Professional engineering and built environment services are separated into general work and reservoir-specific roles.
Scottish Canals says the framework is central to delivering its corporate vision and maintaining its assets while supporting inclusive regeneration in communities alongside the canals. Contractors can bid for one or multiple lots. The deadline for submissions is 20 July 2026.
