Network Rail Infrastructure Limited has established a multi-supplier framework agreement worth £55.7m for the provision of data logging hardware, ancillary equipment and associated services. Breuer Nachrichtentechnik has been appointed as a supplier under the arrangement.
The framework covers commercial off-the-shelf data logging hardware capable of monitoring railway infrastructure assets and compatible with Network Rail's RADAR platform. Suppliers must meet the operator's product specifications and achieve Network Rail Product Acceptance. The scope includes ancillary equipment necessary for installation and operation, plus relevant services such as product lifecycle management, security updates, hardware and firmware updates, repair and technical support.
Network Rail expects suppliers to provide adaptable delivery options and comprehensive warranty solutions. Suppliers must also collaborate with the operator and other framework members to drive efficiency improvements and product innovation, including mitigating technology lock-in and enabling integration of best-in-class solutions through change control where appropriate.
Data analysis obtained from the logging hardware is out of scope, as are event monitoring data loggers.
