PwC has secured a £50m contract to staff the Government Grants Managed Service, a new centralised operation set up by Crown Commercial Service to handle grant administration across government departments.

The service itself emerged from a two-year pilot and now operates as the single point of administration for general government grants. PwC's role is to supply the operational staff required to run the service day-to-day.

Crown Commercial Service, based in Liverpool and working on behalf of Cabinet Office, published the award on 14 July 2026. The contract was signed following a competitive process.
