This map shows where UK public-contract activity and awarded money are concentrated by the contract's declared delivery region, meaning the place the work is carried out, not where the buyer or the winning supplier is based. Figures come from official notices, and awarded totals count GBP awards only.
How to read this map
- Region is the contract's declared place of delivery (the notice's delivery region), not the buyer's or the supplier's location.
- The two figures count different things. Awarded £ sums GBP awards that carry an award date, so money actually awarded. Notice count counts every notice in the region, open tenders included, not just awards.
- National and UK-wide contracts are not on the map. They sit in the "Not attributed to a region" list below, so the largest single awards, such as national frameworks, may not appear on the map itself.
Based on 108 regioned notices (awarded £ shown where a GBP award value is known).
