Tender Gazette Editorial Desk

The Tender Gazette Editorial Desk edits Tender Gazette and is accountable for every story it publishes. Our editors bring more than fifteen years' combined experience in UK public sector bidding and procurement, on both sides of the process. That expertise informs our review of every story, policy, and analysis piece.

The Editorial Desk produces the guides series on selling to the public sector and provides review for the site's data-assisted reporting. How that review works is set out in our editorial standards.

Most coverage starts life at the Tender Gazette Data Desk, the site's automated reporting system: it drafts data stories from official procurement notices, and every figure, date and organisation name is checked mechanically against the source notice before anything is published. The Editorial Desk approves policy and analysis pieces one at a time. Routine, notice-derived data stories that pass every mechanical check may publish under standing approval rules instead, capped at a small number a day, and say so plainly in the byline rather than naming a reviewing editor.
